iBosses and Regal to provide digital age solutions in Sarawak

Regal (SGX mainboard listed company) is providing innovative residential and commercial solutions in Kuching and iBosses providing the most unique entrepreneurship system and coaching solutions.

Together, iBosses and Regal bring the best digital age software and hardware to the upcoming Digital transformation of Sarawak that represents huge growth potential. Such a model can be rapidly replicated into the whole of Asia and enable iBosses 2000 business centres vision. IBosses would like to thank Regal for their strong support.

Led by Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg, Sarawak’s economy is undergoing a digital age transformation, The endeavour is estimated to cost around RM2 billion with a set timeframe of four to five years to achieve it.

“Such amount (RM2 billion) is required for us to, among other things, lay down the fibre optic, cloud computing and satellite to cover the whole of Sarawak,” Abang Johari told a press conference after giving the chief minister’s keynote address to state civil servants earlier in March.

His rationale for the endeavour was that technology was unavoidable and necessary for progress.

“We want to provide high speed Internet connection of up to two terabits per second and if this could be implemented, then we could really transform the economy, including rural entrepreneurship.”

The Top 10 best performing IPOs in the past 12 months

Some recent IPOs have had a horrendous time since they listed late last year, including online furniture retailer Temple & Webster Group Ltd (ASX: TPW) and meat processor and exporter Wellard Limited (ASX: WLD).

The companies have seen their share prices drop by 76% and 81% respectively since listing in December 2015.

They aren’t alone either. Building IQ, Inc (ASX: BIQ) has seen its share price crash 87% to 13 cents, while Digimatic Group Ltd (ASX: DMC) shares are down 70%. Millenium Services Group Limited (ASX: MIL) and Buddy Platform Ltd (ASX: BUD) have both lost around 46% of their value since they listed.

It’s probably too early to call them outright failures, but their respective management teams have plenty of hard work ahead of them if they are even to survive.

By comparison, the following 10 companies have seen their share prices go close to double or more.

Company Last Price Market Cap ($m) Gain
IOT Group Limited (ASX: IOT) $0.03 $3.1 361.5%
Voltage IP Limited (ASX: VIP) $0.17 $93.6 201.7%
zipMoney Ltd (ASX: ZML) $0.82 $85.7 189.5%
Class Ltd (ASX: CL1) $3.50 $286.0 149.6%
iBosses Corporation Ltd (ASX: IB8) $0.45 $7.0 125.0%

iBosses, a company to train entrepreneurs, has listed on the ASX at a premium.

Shares in the Singapore-based business opened at $0.21, a premium to the issue price of $0.20, after raising $2.7 million.

Founder and CEO Patrick Khor says the listing brings the company closer to expanding iBosses to include 2,000 centres covering major cities across regions in Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Australia, Philippines, Cambodia, Germany and America.

“By listing on the ASX, iBosses can ably demonstrate to young start ups that it is never too early nor are they too young to achieve the dream of running a publicly listed company in a world class Stock Exchange like the ASX in Australia,” Dr Khor says.

The cash raised is being used to help fund further development of the iBosses online platform, a subscription service which takes entrepreneurs through a mix of education and mentoring, through eight levels.

iBosses mentors entrepreneurs and helps start-up businesses to succeed.
